Huntington presents Winterfest

Downtown Cleveland is your prime destination for kicking off the holiday season! On the Saturday following Thanksgiving, bring your family Downtown as Huntington presents Winterfest, an all day holiday celebration! Take in the magic as you experience Downtown’s vibrancy through horse and carriage rides, the tree-lighting ceremony at Playhouse Square, a fireworks show and more!

1-4:30 p.m. Fusion. Live and Talespinner Theater
Fusion. Live will be providing family-friendly holiday entertainment at the Winterfest Children’s Stage. The Children’s Stage will also host 2 special performances of  Peter and the Wolf by Talespinner Theater between 3:00 and 4:00 pm. 

1-6:30 p.m. Holiday Pop-Up Shop
Get a jump start on holiday shopping at the Holiday Pop-up Shop at East 14th and Euclid Ave.  Buy friends and family creative gifts from local artisans.

1-6:30 p.m. Food Trucks
Food trucks will be on site at Huron Ave. and Euclid Ave. for lunch, dinner and snacks.

5-6:30 p.m. Official Lighting of Downtown
The official lighting of Downtown Cleveland, hosted by Mark Nolan and Nicole Marcellino with stage show featuring special guest Humble G the Fiddla and headliner Old Skool, and a special visit from the jolly man in red and ending in a spectacular fireworks show.  

Festival of Trees at Allen Theatre
The Festival of Trees is back to spread lots of holiday cheer. View the beautiful display of holiday trees lining the lobby of the Allen Theatre. Open at 5:30 p.m. on weekdays and 11:00 a.m. on weekends.

Keep It Local Cleveland has teamed up with Cleveland Magazine, 107.3 the Wave and The Arcade (Hyatt Regency) to host the first annual Keep It Local Ceveland Winter Market.  The Keep It Local Cleveland Winter Market will include local restaurants, boutiques, health & wellness vendors, live entertainment and  free family friendly fun for everyone! All vendors that are participating in the event are verified local Cleveland Businesses.

Horseshoe Casino - Tower City
Horseshoe Casino will once again host Holidays at the Higbee. The casino floors will be transformed into a winter wonderland, showcasing traditional holiday décor that reflects those used decades ago at the iconic Higbee’s Department Store. Holidays at the Higbee will be on display around the clock throughout the holiday season

In addition to all of the Winterfest activities taking place on Public Square, families can also enjoy holiday activities from these partner events:
• Tower City: Events begin at 10 a.m. and include Kringle's Inventionasium, Holiday Express Train, Bruce the Talking Spruce, the Holiday Showcase at the Grand Staircase and much more.
• Old Stone Church: Christmas concerts taking place at 4 pm, 5 pm and after the fireworks.
• Renaissance Cleveland: A Christmas Story Convention
• Hard Rock Café: Chilling with the Kringle at 11 a.m. and Guitar Hero Challenge from 1-5 p.m.
• The Historic Arcade: Historic tours with characters from Cleveland's past at 3:30 and 4:30 p.m.
• Cleveland Public Library: Free holiday concert with cookies and hot cocoa at 2 p.m.
• Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument: Monument will be open from 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
And new this year is Indians Snow Days at Progressive Field. The Cleveland Indians will transform the ballpark into a winter haven filled with snow tubing, ice skating, food/beverages and much more. Snow Days is open 10 a.m.-10 pm. and runs from Nov. 26 through Jan. 2.
