When the lease was up for John Hill's growing web development
company in the suburbs, Downtown Cleveland was not the first place
he looked to relocate. But when a broker suggested the Warehouse
District, he decided to take a look for his company Aztek. And what
he found was exactly what he was looking for and more.
Open warehouse space. An adjacent parking lot. Views of the
lake. A vibrant neighborhood with restaurants in walking distance.
An easy commute. And a price he could afford. In fact, the space in
the Warehouse District was actually less expensive than spaces he
toured in the suburbs.
What's more is that the new Downtown Cleveland address gave him
added prestige, especially to out-of-town clients. When you have an
office Downtown, you have instant credibility, he says.
Now sitting in his new conference room overlooking the lake and
the Browns stadium, John is delighted with his decision. His
employees love being near the buzz of Downtown and his business is
thriving.
Cleveland's go-to design firm VoCon helped John completely
renovate the space to his liking. They pulled down the dropped
ceilings, blew down the walls, and created the open environment
that inspires creativity and collaboration.
John is joined by a number of other thriving tech firms that
have chosen Downtown Cleveland as home - and he hopes more will
follow.
