Saira Rahman began her life in Cleveland in 2004 as she entered Case Western Reserve University, where she studied Finance, Accounting, and Economics. Originally raised in a small suburb outside of Buffalo, Saira became passionate about everything Cleveland had to offer throughout her years in college. Her love for the city and need to fully experience downtown Cleveland brought her to the Warehouse District three years ago, as she hopped from building to building until she found her current home, along the East Bank of the Flats.

During 2008, after thoroughly analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of joining Wall Street, Saira chose to remain in Cleveland and ended up declining a position on the Street in order to prove to everyone just how much Cleveland has to offer. Saira joined B&F Capital Markets in 2008, a derivatives trade floor located in the Warehouse District downtown.

She is currently an Associate on the trade floor, assisting with trade execution.

Saira's goals within the DCA include providing better resources for future and current professionals looking into downtown Cleveland as their home, in addition to bringing more business downtown so as to draw in the suburbia who wouldn't come downtown if not for their jobs.

Additionally, she is looking to improve the climate of current businesses so as to add value for both downtown residents and the surrounding neighborhoods.

In her free time, Saira is an active member at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cleveland. She also loves trying out the plethora of great restaurants and dance floors surrounding her neighborhood, and enjoys spending as much time as possible with friends working on her golf swing whilst singing pop tunes in her neverending desire to become Cleveland's next Tiger GaGa.
