RETURN TO OFFICE TOOLKIT

CLEAN, SAFE, AND welcoming

A successful return to the office starts with a clean, safe, and welcoming downtown environment. DCA’s Ambassadors have been on the job as essential workers throughout the pandemic. Call 216-621-6000 to report an issue or access Ambassador services including safety escorts or car lockout assistance.

As you return to the office, you can expect to see:

  • Clean and Safe Ambassadors on the street from 7am to midnight seven days a week picking up litter and debris, removing graffiti, power washing sidewalks, and maintaining an inviting pedestrian experience

  • Beautified streets with additional planters and street furniture

  • Street musicians

  • DCA branded Hospitality Carts that serve as a mobile concierge for pedestrians, offering information and directions

Note: DCA has invested in increasing the Ambassadors’ capacity and training to address the needs of individuals experiencing crises related to homelessness, mental health, or addiction to create a pedestrian experience that works for everyone.

Commuting

PARKING

Locate and connect with a parking facility that is convenient for you and your employees. Downtown's parking operators will work with you to establish a monthly pass program to accommodate your employees, even if they are on a hybrid schedule. Visit our parking map to find the best option for your company, and connect with DCA if you need assistance.

PUBLIC TRANSIT

  • GCRTA service is accessible and frequent, and downtown is at the center of the system. In June 2021, the “NextGen” system redesign was launched to provide more frequency to downtown, so employees may find that transit has become a more attractive option for them since before the pandemic.

  • Employees can use the EZfare app to purchase passes and can plan their trip easily through Google Maps or the Transit App.

  • Commuter Advantage: employers can offer this benefit to employees to use pre-tax dollars to purchase a transit pass.

Micro-transit

  • Scooters, bikes, and electric bikes are available for rent downtown using a smartphone.

  • Visit the Cleveland City Planning webpage on micro-transit for how-tos and safety tips.

Beyond the Office

Coffee, Lunch, Happy Hour, and Things to DO

Employers want their workers to want to come to the office, and compelling Downtown Cleveland experiences make that easy. Downtown Cleveland is home to over 400 restaurants, bars, and shops—over 30 more than before the pandemic. DCA’s Return to Downtown Cleveland Campaign launches this month and highlights the experiences that make downtown an exciting place to be.
