DCA’s Heather Holmes Dillard Named to U.S. Black Chambers “Power 50” List

Downtown Cleveland Alliance’s (DCA) Executive Vice President of External Affairs, Heather Holmes Dillard, was named to The U.S. Black Chambers, Inc. (USBC) 2023 Women of Power “Power 50”. The USBC Power 50 List is an annual honor given to 50 notable African American women who embody the spirit of the organization and an unwavering dedication to making a difference in their communities and in the world at large.

This year's honorees represent a diverse variety of women from across the country that have made significant contributions in their fields. These individuals have made a significant impact on the lives and communities surrounding them. They are leaders in the business, education, arts, sports, entertainment, philanthropy, technology, and social justice sectors.

Heather is a driven community engagement, public relations and marketing professional. She has led the charge for DCA’s strategic communications and partnership efforts for more than eight years. Heather is credited for forging strong relationships to create and produce the city’s Juneteenth Freedom Festival and assisting city leaders with the execution and hosting of national events in Cleveland, such as the 2016 RNC, 2021 NFL Draft, and the 2022 NBA All-Star game.

Prior to relocating back to Cleveland, Heather helped to establish the formation of the U.S. Black Chambers, Inc., leading the organization’s branding efforts and producing national conferences. Her ability to connect key members of the business, non-profit, and media communities both here in Cleveland and across the country has proven to be an asset for DCA, Greater Cleveland, and the community at large.

The annual Power 50 List is a way to recognize some of the most influential women who help us reimagine what is possible, women who are telling stories, advocating causes, pioneering change, and amplifying the voices of all women every day.

On Thursday, March 23, USBC’s Power 50 List represents an important opportunity for USBC's Women of Power to receive national recognition for their hard work and efforts toward progress during the annual Women of Power luncheon taking place at the AT&T Forum.
