Downtown Cleveland’s Free “Take a Hike” Tours Return June 1st

Take a Hike®, presented by the Historic Gateway Neighborhood Corporation in partnership with the Downtown Cleveland Alliance, offers free tours of unique and historic neighborhoods in Cleveland! Guided tours begin June 1st and continue through September 30th. Pre-registration is recommended as space is limited.

Since 2009, the award-winning program has entertained and educated more than 50,000 guests. With 14 tours to choose from, both in-person guided and self-guided options, you can explore the city in some form every day of the year.  The tours are available seven days a week, with seven different tours offered in June and July and seven new ones offered in August and September.

The tour guides blend deep local knowledge, skill, and heart to make your tour enriching, entertaining, and fun. Along your walk, you’ll meet historical Clevelanders, portrayed by actors and actresses, who share their story, role, and impact in shaping our city. All tours are 90 minutes, except for Friday’s 45-minute lunchtime tour.

Take A Hike is made possible with support from Ohio & Erie Canal Association and Cuyahoga Arts and Culture.
