Andjelina (Nina) Pupovac

KÜR was founded by Serbian-born, Andjelina (Nina) Pupovac who started her career in Cardiology at the Cleveland Clinic. Nina is a Nurse Practitioner who has vast knowledge in the aesthetician field, learning the most innovative techniques while studying internationally. She has been in the aesthetician field for almost a decade now. With a specialty in injectables, Nina was voted one of the top 100 Best Injectors in America in 2021. She has always believed in the natural, subtle beauty, describing that she wants her patients to look and feel beautiful.

“I enjoy creating art on people’s faces, I get to practice art in a medical way,” Nina explained.

Some of the many services KÜR offers are IV hydration, facials, and the more unique body contouring. Body Contouring is done with Emsculpt Neo which uses both radiofrequency (RF) and high intensity focused electromagnetic (HIFEM) energy at the same time to stimulate muscle toning, fat reduction, and skin tightening. Emsculpt Neo is the only FDA-approved nonsurgical, non-invasive treatment that simultaneously burns fat and builds muscle.

The process is simple, an applicator is placed on the desired area of the body, and your muscles contract under the RF and HIFEM energy to give you an intense workout. Nina explained the 30-minute session is equivalent to doing 20,000 push-ups. After the applicators are placed on the skin, they emit the two energies simultaneously. According to the KÜR team, on average, patients see 30% fat reduction and 25% muscle growth. Nina gave members of our DCA team a turn with the Emsculpt Neo, and we definitely felt the burn - in a good way. She fully prepared us on what the process would feel like and stayed with us the whole time to make sure we felt comfortable and enjoyed the treatment.

The Hillard Building

You can find Nina and her team in the Hillard building in the Warehouse District of Downtown. The Hilliard Building was constructed between August 1849 and March 1850 making it one the oldest buildings in Downtown Cleveland. Nina was very excited when they found the space Downtown, she referred to having a Downtown location as her “ultimate goal”. Wanting to be where the action was, it was a dream of hers to have her own space in the city. Opportunity met preparation when Nina walked by the for lease sign and acted immediately. They renovated the whole space to make it the ideal location for well-being and personal growth with their skin treatment rooms, injectable rooms, and consulting rooms, allowing for maximum privacy.

With additional rooms and a longue under renovation, KÜR is constantly expanding and improving. In the Fall they are looking to add facial laser services to help clients with acne scars and pigment rejuvenation. We are excited to see what’s come next for them.
