Hispanic Heritage Celebration

  • Union Home Mortgage Plaza 1100 East 9th Street Cleveland, OH, 44114 United States (map)

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame proudly celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month with a free community celebration on Saturday, September 24th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Union Home Mortgage plaza.

The free community event brings together an inspiring group of performers to commemorate the richness of Hispanic culture and highlight Latin and Hispanic music, dance, art and food. The community partners for this event are the leaders in making the Hispanic culture vibrant in Cleveland and the Rock Hall is proud to partner with them for this now annual event. Activations for the day include:

  • Latin City Soul, a 10-piece Latin band, will get everyone off their feet and dancing from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.

  • Dancers in costume from the annual Puerto Rican Parade will join in and perform to the music.

  • La Mega radio station will be onsite with raffles and giveaways. On-air talent will also serve as the emcees of the event, making all introductions and announcements in both Spanish and English.

  • Future Ink Graphics and the Cleveland Museum of Art will offer make and take art projects, including poster prints of a one-of-a-kind art piece commissioned by Future Ink Graphics just for this event from local artist Alicia Vasquez.

  • Families can create their own chalk murals on our plaza alongside professional chalk artist Dante Rodriguez as he creates a Dia de Los Muertos mural live throughout the day.

  • DJFuse1 will spin vinyl records from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m., keeping the energy and excitement going throughout the afternoon with the best of Hispanic, Latin and Rock music.
