Ice Fest Returns to Downtown Cleveland  

In partnership with the City of Cleveland, Downtown Cleveland Alliance (DCA) continues the lakefront winter tradition of Ice Fest at North Coast Harbor on Saturday, February 11, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Located in Voinovich Bicentennial Park, the free event will feature the Inaugural Hot Cocoa 5K & 1 Mile Walk, an array of immersive ice sculptures, carving demonstrations, ice bars and more around the inner harbor walkway and along E. 9th Street Pier.  

Guests of all ages are sure to enjoy the live carving demos, hot cocoa and kids’ crafts at Simply Vintage bakery (while supplies last), the Ice Fest Scavenger Hunt with a chance to win swag, and 25-plus ice sculptures from world-renowned ice carvers! Sculptures will be on display by 10 a.m. and the day’s schedule of events is as follows:  

  • 10:00 AM | Inaugural Hot Cocoa 5K & 1 Mile Walk 

  • 10:30 AM | SnowGa (20-minute outdoor yoga)   

  • 11:00 AM | SnowGa (20-minute outdoor yoga) 

  • 11:00 AM | Scavenger Hunt Swag Pick-up & FREE Hot Cocoa at Simply Vintage until 1:00 PM (while supplies last) 

  • 11:00 AM | Storytime & Crafts at Suite C until 1:00 PM 

  • 11:30 AM | Carving Demo at Nuevo  

  • 12:30 PM | Carving Demo at Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Plaza 

  • 1:00 PM | Musical Performance by WODA at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame (no admission fee required; performance will be on the main level indoor stage) 

  • 1:30 PM | Carving Demo in Voinovich Park  

  • 2:30 PM | Fire Pits & S’more Kits at Voinovich Park  

  • 2:30 PM | Carving Demo in Voinovich Park  

  • 3:30 PM | Ice Tower Build and Carving Demo in Voinovich Park 

  • 5:30 PM | Fire & Ice Tower Lighting  

  • 5:45 PM | Burn Unit Fire Performance (30-minute show) in Voinovich Park

Great Lakes Science center will offer $5-off admission for Hot Cocoa 5K & 1 Mile Walk participants and Ice Fest attendees; visit greatscience.com for details.
