Clean ambassadors are assigned specific routes to remove trash, debris, litter, pet waste and ensure a clean environment while monitoring pedestrian activity in the downtown footprint.
Ambassadors log all of their work in our SMART System. This data is used to identify trends and hot spots that guide our deployment strategies.
Public Maintenance
Downtown Cleveland works with local growers and installers to make our city more vibrant and welcoming through beautification projects. From installing planters down the Euclid Corridor and East 9th Street to maintaining hanging baskets in the Warehouse District, we create pockets of color, beauty, and tranquility throughout our downtown. In addition, we maintain existing greenery through weed abatement, watering, and more.
